Ira Amayun, FNP

About Ira Amayun

Ira Amayun, FNP, is a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with extensive experience in providing compressive health care to diverse patient populations. She received her MPH, FNP, and DNP from University of San Francisco and afterwards demonstrated a robust clinical work history. Her work experience includes: Sutter Health; San Benito Health Foundation; US Careways; Alignment Healthcare; Santa Clara Valley Medical Center; Kasier Permanente; and now here at Washington Township Medical Foundation’s Civic Center Primary Care.

Ira’s philosophy of care is guided by the “Heart, Mind, and Heart” approach. This perspective calls for the understanding that as health care professionals they: humanize and practice empathy with the patient; use the knowledge that they learn to best help the patient; and end each visit by making sure the patient feels cared for – the best they can.

Ira is drawn to internal medicine because of the ability to help educate patients and be their partner in coordinating care. She empowers her patients with the knowledge and tools necessary to actively participate in their health journey. Above all, Ira goes to great lengths to make sure that the care environment is one that fosters trust and facilitates open communication.

In Ira’s free time, she enjoys short trips to the beach and exploring the many small towns of Northern California.
