Daniel Sweeney, M.D.

Daniel Sweeney, M.D. - medical intensivist at WTMFDr. Sweeney graduated from The College of the Holy Cross with a BA in History in 1990. After serving as a volunteer school teacher in Mississippi and Texas, he earned an MS degree in Microbiology at the University of Texas, El Paso and later completed medical school at the University of Texas-Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas in 2001.

Dr. Sweeney completed residency in internal medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine-Jacobi Medical Center, Bronx, New York. He subsequently completed fellowships in infectious disease at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and critical care medicine at The National Institutes of Health. His clinical interests include sepsis, bioterrorism and critical care ultrasonography; he has published more than ten journal articles and book chapters. Dr. Sweeney is board certified in internal medicine, infectious disease and critical care medicine.

Dr. Sweeney is a Medical Intensivist at Washington Hospital.
