Margie Aleman-Martin, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.
Dr. Margie Aleman-Martin was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. She graduated from the University of California, Davis with a Physiology degree and completed medical school at the University of California, Irvine. She went on to do her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Kaiser San Francisco. During residency she married and as a chief resident she had her first child in 1997.
After completing residency she started private practice in Fremont at Women’s Health Specialists in 1997. She became Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1999 and then had her second child.
As Dr. Aleman-Martin’s medical practice in Fremont has matured, she has also raised her family in the Fremont area. She is proud to be a member of the Fremont community and to serve as an Obstetrician and Gynecologist to the women in this area.
“As women today we face many demands as we learn to juggle both career and family. It is important to achieve balance in our lives and not overlook our health care. As an Obstetrician and Gynecologist I look forward to seeing each patient through her life stages. I enjoy guiding a woman through her pregnancy, meeting her new baby, and continuing to follow-up with her during annual visits. I can provide you with information, discuss treatment options, and help you obtain the medical care that you deserve.”
Her practice focuses on general and high-risk obstetrics, minimally-invasive laparoscopic surgery, and preventative health care. As a native Spanish speaker she welcomes the opportunity to work with Spanish speaking patients.
Professional organizations: Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, American Medical Association, California Medical Association, and Alameda-Contra Costa Medical Association. Chairperson of Washington Hospital’s Perinatal Morbidity and Mortality Committee.
