She then had a full year of clinical rotations, where she spent 5 weeks each in 9 specialty rotations including geriatrics, internal medicine, pediatrics, OB/GYN, emergency medicine, general surgery, plastic surgery, vascular surgery, and family medicine. Always knowing she wanted to work in surgery, Kimberly took initiative while at Kaiser Oakland for her 3 surgical rotations, performing first assist and second assist in numerous cases.
