Credentialing Specialist

Summary: Oversees the new credentialing of Physicians, the re-credentialing of Physicians, and the Insurance Credentialing to all contracted health plans, Medical groups, IPA’s, Consultants and other Governmental agencies. They are also responsible for ensuring provider credentials are up to date (medical license, DEA, board certificates, malpractice insurances, etc.) Finally the Credentialing Specialist works with CAQH, a non-profit alliance and the leader in creating shared initiatives to streamline the business of healthcare, to set up new accounts for Physicians, validate information quarterly and will monitor all validation emails.

Patient Service Coordinator

Summary: Greets and receives patients in person and by telephone. Schedules appointments in an efficient and timely manner. Facilitates communication by routing phone calls to the appropriate department and/or person. Instructs patients on filling out their appropriate paper for registration. Makes copies of patient’s driver’s license and insurance cards to place/scan into the patient’s charts. Checks patients in and out, make follow-up appointments, and prepare lab and x-ray slips if and when needed. Strictly follows all practice policies and procedures, including all HIPAA related policies and procedures.
