Musculoskeletal injuries cause pain of the muscles, tendons, ligaments,
joints, and / or bones. These injuries and disorders affect many people
around the United States. Musculoskeletal disorders or MSDs were the cause
of more work injuries than any other category of injuries. These injuries
were also responsible for close to 30% of worker’s compensation costs.

as physiatrists, treat patients comprehensively, providing care for individuals
who suffer from various musculoskeletal disorders and injuries. Physiatrists
use rehabilitation to help patients achieve reduced pain and experience
