Physiatry Resources
Patient Information from Washington Township Medical Foundation
There are a number of resources offered by the physiatry team at Washington
Township Medical Foundation for our patients’ education and increased
understanding. Physiatrists treat conditions that affect the musculoskeletal
system, which includes the nerves, tendons, joints, muscles, ligaments,
and bones. From complicated conditions to simple, localized pain such
as pain in the low back or neck, physiatrists are able to diagnose the
cause of symptoms, assess the extent of disability / impairment, and prescribe
treatment plans crafted for the patient’s individual needs. Physiatry
involves a non-surgical approach to treatment of injuries and diseases
that affect the musculoskeletal system.
At Washington Township Medical Foundation, our dedicated team of Fremont
physiatrists put patients first. We work closely with other medical professionals
to provide a comprehensive continuum of multi-disciplinary care, depending
on each of our patient’s needs. We also believe that education and
providing information and resources are key aspects of what we do.
