Our Leadership

Washington Township Medical Foundation is led by a team of compassionate, dedicated, and well-respected professionals in the health care industry and community. Our leadership reflects the commitment we have to not only the highest quality of patient care, but accessibility and convenience as well. And, as part of the Washington Hospital Healthcare System, our leaders are able to collaborate with some of the most experienced and knowledgeable health professionals in Northern California.

Albert Brooks, MD, President, Washington Township Medical Group, and Chief Medical Officer,
Washington Township Medical Foundation

Albert L. Brooks, MD, is President of the Washington Township Medical Group, Chief Medical Officer of Washington Township Medical Foundation, and Chief of Medical Services for Washington Hospital Healthcare System. In his leadership roles, Brooks collaborates with administration, physicians, clinical leaders and staff to ensure delivery of the highest quality of care and service. Long a passionate advocate for women’s health, he attended Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City, where he completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Later, at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center in Berkeley, Calif., he became Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, President of the Medical Staff, and served on the Board of Trustees. Arriving at Washington Hospital in 2004, Brooks helped establish the successful OB Hospitalist program, and served as its director before assuming a new role as Chief of Medical Services at the Hospital. In 2007, he became president of the newly founded Washington Township Medical Group, and in 2010 was named Chief Medical Officer of Washington Township Medical Foundation.

Galen Hamilton, MBA, Chief Operating Officer
Galen Hamilton, MBA, joined Washington Township Medical Foundation in 2017, where he provides strategic direction, overall management and day-to-day leadership of the third-largest primary care and multispecialty medical group in the Silicon Valley. He brings to WTMF more than 30 years of leadership and management experience at some of Northern California’s top health care organizations, including Dignity Health Medical Foundation, where he was the executive director for the San Francisco Bay Area; and Kaiser Permanente, where he held director positions with Kaiser Foundation Hospital, Kaiser Foundation Healthplan, and The Permanente Medical Group. A specialist in process improvement, operational growth and performance excellence, Hamilton holds a bachelor’s degree cum laude in Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration degree cum laude from Saint Mary’s College of California.

Ranjana Sharma, MD, Chief Medical Officer, Washington Township Medical Group
Ranjana Sharma, MD, Chief Medical Officer of the Washington Township Medical Group, has an extraordinary reputation for delivering the highest quality of care. A board-certified family physician and longtime Fremont resident, Sharma has been practicing in the Tri-City communities since 1989 and has a passion for community-based activities. She received her medical degree from Aligarh University Medical School in India, followed by a fellowship in Gynecology and Obstetrics at Hiroshima University School of Medicine in Japan. Her experience is deep. After moving to the U.S., Sharma completed her Family Practice residency at the University of California, San Francisco, and also became Assistant Clinical Professor. She has served as Medical Director of the Physician Assistant program at Stanford University School of Medicine and was Assistant Clinical Professor at the Department of Family and Community Medicine at Stanford. At Washington Hospital, Sharma is past Chair of the Department of Family Practice and formerly Chief of Medical Staff. She was named Chief Medical Officer of the Washington Township Medical Group in 2009.

Daniel Nardoni, MBA, Chief Financial Officer, Washington Township Medical Foundation
As Chief Financial Officer of the Washington Township Medical Foundation, Daniel Nardoni, MBA, is responsible for the daily and long-term financial operations of the organization. He has served in a variety of top financial positions in his 25-year career. Nardoni has experience as a Public Accountant with the accounting firm Arthur Andersen and their health care practice, and he was a Senior Accountant for Sutter Health in Northern California. Joining Washington Hospital Healthcare System in 2000 as a Senior Accountant, he later became Budget Manager. At the Hospital, Nardoni has also held positions as Senior Director of Budgeting and Ancillary Financial Services, and in 2015 became Assistant Chief Financial Officer. In 2017, he accepted the position of Assistant Chief Financial Officer of Washington Township Medical Foundation, and became Chief Financial Officer in 2018. Nardoni holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting from California State University, East Bay, and earned his Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration from University of California, Irvine.
