About Dr. Erogbogbo
Dr. Alissa Erogbogbo is a board-certified OB/GYN and accomplished medical executive with more than 16 years of experience in women’s health leadership, clinical operations, and hospital-based care. She currently serves as Chief of Women’s Health Services at Washington Health Medical Group, where she leads strategic initiatives focused on quality improvement, patient outcomes, and service line growth.
Throughout her career, Dr. Erogbogbo has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing women’s health, physician efficiency, and adherence to ACOG quality measures and CMS standards. She has held senior leadership roles across nationally recognized healthcare systems, overseeing both clinical and administrative operations. Her experience includes supervising multidisciplinary teams, presenting performance data to executive committees, improving operational workflows, and developing innovative physician training programs—including hands-on technology and skills-based simulation initiatives in maternal child health.
Dr. Erogbogbo has also played a significant role in physician recruitment and workforce development, successfully recruiting and managing large teams of physicians and midwives to support hospitalist programs and women’s health service lines. In prior leadership roles, she launched and expanded multiple hospitalist programs across California and Nevada, ensured state-of-the-art EMR integration, and established diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to strengthen care delivery.
In addition to her hospital leadership experience, Dr. Erogbogbo has served in executive roles within telehealth and maternal health platforms, where she led recruitment and training initiatives, developed quality improvement programs, and collaborated with stakeholders to expand access to reproductive and family-building care. She has contributed as a subject matter expert in national webinars and healthcare forums, and has previously contributed to MedPage, NPR, Stanford University lectures, and various podcasts.
Dr. Erogbogbo completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northeast Ohio Medical University through Summa Health Systems/Akron City Hospital. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Health Sciences and holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology. She has also completed advanced leadership training at Harvard Medical School and Stanford University and is a Fellow of the California Health Care Foundation Health Care Leadership Program.
She is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is actively involved in numerous professional organizations, including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Association for Physician Leadership, the California Medical Association, and the Society of OB/GYN Hospitalists, where she serves as a Board Member and Annual Clinical Meeting Chair for 2025.
