About Dr. Huang

Jean Huang, MD, is triple board-certified in Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, and Obesity Medicine. Dr. Huang received her Master's Degree in Biology from UC San Diego and went on to earn her medical degree from the University of Illinois School of Medicine at Rockford. She completed her residency at Olive View – UCLA Medical Center and her fellowship at Harbor – UCLA Medical Center. In her previous roles, Dr. Huang worked as an Endocrinologist at DaVita Medical Group, Dignity Health, and served as a medical consultant for various healthcare companies. Now, she practices here at Washington Township Medical Foundation as one of our Endocrinologists.

Dr. Huang chose Endocrinology because she enjoys the intricacies of the endocrine system. To her, working with the endocrine system is like being a detective, investigating to find the missing piece of a puzzle. She finds it fulfilling to rebalance a well-knit system by identifying breakthrough points that bring back fulfillment to her patients' lives.

Dr. Huang’s philosophy of care revolves around providing a whole-person approach. She believes the endocrine system reflects the imbalances occurring in our lives, whether from family, friends, work, school, or other factors. Dr. Huang's approach is to develop an integrative plan with her patients, creating a collaborative, attainable, and effective care plan together.

Community building is another integral passion for Dr. Huang. Research has shown that fostering relationships can drastically improve the health of an entire population. Dr. Huang is motivated by seeing the transformative results a patient experiences after being empowered through education, teamwork, and success in regaining their health.

In her free time, Dr. Huang enjoys playing the guitar, piano, or trying out new recipes.
