About Dr. Mathur

Dr. Saloni Mathur is a passionate OB/GYN with both her Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences and Medical Doctorate from the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences, Toledo, Ohio. Dr. Mathur then completed her OB/GYN residency at Richmond University Medical Center, Staten Island, New York. During this time, she was Chief Resident, which involved active curriculum development for the OB/GYN residency program. After her residency, she joined Washington Township Medical Foundation as one of our OB/GYN physicians.

For Dr. Mathur’s philosophy of care, she believes that “every women should be empowered to make educated decisions about their health and feel in control of their choices.” Dr. Mathur achieves this by being their advocate and an unbiased source of information. She treats every patient with a sense of respect and helps women understand their body, as well as its bodily functions without judgement.

As a child, Dr. Mathur was mentored by an OB/GYN who saved her family member’s life and saw her own potential. When Dr. Mathur made the decision to go into medicine, it was for more than just being doctor, it was about “being an OB/GYN with the skills to help empower women to take control of their health.”

In her free time, Dr. Mathur keeps herself occupied with her dog, Dolce. She stays active with kickboxing classes, yoga, and dance.
