Shilpa Jayaramaswamy Sulochana, MD

About Dr. Sulochana

Dr. Shilpa Jayaramaswamy Sulochana is a board-certified pediatrician with over 12 years of experience in outpatient pediatrics. She brings a comprehensive approach to care, treating a wide range of conditions including ADHD, depression, and anxiety, in addition to providing preventive care, vaccinations, and wellness visits. As part of her focus on prevention, she actively advocates for healthy lifestyle habits and dietary practices.

Dr. Sulochana is especially passionate about newborn care and enjoys supporting new parents as they navigate the challenges of caring for their newborns. She has performed numerous newborn procedures, including circumcisions, and has managed acute pediatric conditions such as bronchiolitis, asthma exacerbations, and dehydration.

Prior to joining Washington Health Medical Group in June 2025, Dr. Sulochana served in various clinical roles across Florida, Georgia, and Texas. Her experience includes outpatient pediatrics, hospitalist duties, and newborn nursery care. She also helped launch and grow a new pediatric practice at Advent Health in Daytona Beach, FL.

She completed her pediatric residency at Nassau University Medical Center in New York in 2012 and earned her medical degree from Bangalore Medical College in India. Dr. Sulochana is passionate about medical education and has trained medical students, residents, and newly hired advanced practice providers. She is fluent in English, Hindi, and Kannada, allowing her to connect with a diverse patient population.

Outside of work, Dr. Sulochana enjoys dancing and playing volleyball.
