About Xinyue (Anna) Chen
Anna Chen, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant who brings a strong foundation of clinical experience across multiple specialties, including inpatient medicine, surgery, emergency medicine, dermatology, internal medicine, and family medicine. She is committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care with a focus on communication, collaboration, and evidence-based practice.
Anna’s clinical rotations provided her with extensive hands-on experience caring for patients of all ages and backgrounds. She has developed strong skills in performing comprehensive histories and physical exams, formulating diagnoses, and creating treatment plans across both acute and chronic conditions. Her training includes experience with surgical assisting, dermatologic procedures, joint injections, women’s health exams, and the management of complex inpatient cases such as sepsis, pneumonia, and electrolyte abnormalities.
She has worked in diverse clinical environments nationwide, building proficiency with multiple EMR systems including EPIC, eClinicalWorks, and Practice Fusion. Her ability to connect with patients is further supported by her conversational Mandarin, allowing her to help bridge communication barriers and improve patient understanding.
Prior to joining Washington Health Medical Group, Anna worked as a medical assistant in both allergy and ENT practices, where she supported clinical operations, assisted in procedures, managed immunotherapy treatments, performed allergy testing, and contributed to efficient, patient-focused workflows.
Anna earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Pacific University in Oregon, and graduated from the University of California San Diego with dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Biochemistry and Cell Biology and in Psychology with a specialization in Human Health.
Outside of work, Anna enjoys traveling, badminton, and powerlifting as ways to unwind and recharge.
She’s been lucky to travel to places like Japan, China, and the UK, with each trip giving her a greater appreciation for different cultures, foods, and experiences. Whether she’s exploring new restaurants abroad or experimenting with recipes at home, she loves how food has a way of bringing people together.
She also enjoys spending time with friends playing badminton, a hobby she’s had since high school. Beyond the fun and social connection, it’s a great way for her to stay active and healthy.
Anna is also passionate about powerlifting, seeing it as a fun way to stay strong and challenge herself. She enjoys the sense of accomplishment that comes with reaching new goals and the focus it brings to her daily routine.
