Dr. Zaid Imam is board-certified in Internal Medicine with a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery degree from Jordan University of Science & Technology in Irbid, Jordan. He completed his clinical internship at Princess Basma Hospital, Irbid, Jordan, and his residency at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Michigan. Dr. Imam’s fellowship of Gastroenterology and Hepatology was also completed at William Beaumont Hospital. Recently, he joined Washington Township Medical Foundation as one of our gastroenterology providers.

Dr. Imam’s philosophy of care is to tailor patient care to the patients’ individual needs. He goes out of his way to “listen to their complaints, address their issues, and achieve a level of healing that allows them to go back to their normal lives and enjoy life.” With this approach, Dr. Imam has continuously committed himself to deeply understanding his patient’s preferences as well as studying their history to gauge potential outcomes.

Gastroenterology drew Dr. Imam in because of the importance of the gut, and surrounding systems, in overall health. He feels gastroenterology offers him “the ability to serve my patients with both clinical knowledge and procedural interventions.” The human gut is something that is often overlooked and Dr. Imam makes sure that the correctly applied therapeutic solutions lead to positive outcomes for his patients.

In his free time, Dr. Imam enjoys hiking, traveling to experience new cultures, and reading.
